The Inaugural Season
In 2023, we partnered with Spokane Velocity FC, a newly launched USL League 1 team, to lead their regional debut campaign across the Pacific Northwest. Tasked with building fan excitement and supporting the front office, we developed a comprehensive creative strategy beyond the team’s name, logo, and kit. Our focus was to establish a bold brand presence and turn first-time spectators into loyal fans. We consider it a successful year with an Opening Night sellout, a 75% capacity for 10 home matches, coming in 2nd in USL League One in Ticket Revenue and 3rd in overall attendance. In addition, our work was recognized by the USL for top Digital Content in the league for 2024.

Up the Falls
Approach
Many of our campaigns and promotional materials had to be developed before Spokane Velocity FC finalized their roster, kits, or merchandise. Relying heavily on mockups and renderings, we navigated a fast-moving timeline and added layers of creative complexity to bring the brand to life before the team ever took the field.
An inaugural approach
There were many firsts that we experienced with USL Spokane over the inaugural year. First app, website, kits, sponsorships, merch and more. It was definitely a fast-paced, start-up environment where we learned a lot.
The Community Kit
This unique strategy we got to work on with USL Spokane included assets and marketing materials for the Community Kit developed for Velocity FC's 2024 inaugural season. This project integrates QR code technology to spotlight sponsor brands and their community impact. Each month, featured partners gain exposure on stadium assets, live streams, and local TV, with 10% of sponsorship proceeds donated to their chosen charity.
Signage, Outdoor & Paid Media
To activate fan engagement throughout the season, we partnered with Power Marketing, a preferred regional partner, to deploy a comprehensive paid media strategy. This multi-channel campaign included social media ads, print placements, and traditional out-of-home media like billboards to build momentum and drive awareness across the Pacific Northwest. By combining digital precision with real-world visibility, we helped Spokane Velocity FC establish a strong presence before their first match.
Mockups, Figma & Photoshop
A collaborative effort
We worked collaboratively with USL Spokane’s internal teams using tools like Figma, Google Slides, and Asana to streamline communication and approvals. This integrated workflow allowed us to move quickly, stay aligned, and adapt in real time as campaign needs evolved.
Merchandise & SWAG
From the stadium to the streets
We designed exclusive team merchandise that reflected the Velocity brand—modern, energetic, and rooted in the Pacific Northwest. Our merchandise line included scarves, hats, shirts, and supporter packs that quickly became fan favorites. These items were vital in turning casual supporters into dedicated brand ambassadors. Thank you to our long time print partner Zome for bringing it all to life.
Social Media Styles & Layout
Design elements
We developed a suite of branded elements—including custom typography, textures, patterns, and supporting graphics—that extended the team’s identity into a full visual style guide. These assets became the foundation for consistent and dynamic creative across every fan touchpoint. We were able to build upon the initial logo and brand that was done by Treatment, another great agency here in Spokane, WA.
